Answers To General Policy Questions
Registration is easy. Simply find the training course that you want to take, note the title of the training, and the date & time that the training begins. Print the registration form and training policies, review the policies, complete the registration form and send, fax, or scan & email it back to us. Please be sure we receive it at least 5 days prior to the class start date. Then arrange for payment to be made. That's it!
Yes we do. We prefer all payments to be made via PayPal.com (having a PayPal account is not required). Payments through PayPal can be made by all major credit cards or by check. To pay with a check through PayPal you'll simply need to input the routing number at the bottom of the check, the account number at the bottom of the check, and the amount that you wish to pay. That's it, the rest is done electronically. Or if you prefer, checks can be sent to us through the mail also.
No. Payment must be made at least 5 days prior to class. Check payments must have time to clear the bank, and we do not accept cash for payment. Credit card payments must be made via PayPal.com and cannot be made at the door.
Unless a training is being held at a client's location, all trainings are held at our home office (address here) located in the Dearbought neighborhood of Frederick, MD off of route 26 near the Exxon gas station and Walmart store. If a training needs to be held at an alternate location such as the separate room of a nearby restaurant, you will be notified.
Yes, food and drink can be brought to the trainings, however, your training may be held in a private room of a local restaurant, in which case you may decide to purchase food there.
If the county in which the training is being held cancels school or closes school early due to inclement weather, then the training will be cancelled for that evening and rescheduled for another date & time. If significant snow or sever weather is forecast when a Saturday or Sunday class is scheduled, a decision whether to cancel or not will be made as early as possible, likely at least 3 hours or more prior to class.
To be safe, please plan to arrive early for training. Approximately 5 minutes after training begins, the sign-in sheet will be taken away. At that point no one else will be admitted to class and it will be considered a missed class for any registered student who is not signed-in. Please arrive early.
People get sick, that's understandable. If you think you may miss a class due to illness, please notify us as early as possible. Arrangements will be made to switch you to another class at a later date.
Unfortunately, no. The only people permitted at trainings are registered students. Please make other arrangements for children to stay with family, friends, or a babysitter if needed. Also, please do not bring co-workers (unless a registered student) etc to class.

Yes, students can switch to another class if at least 24 hours notice is given. Please contact us for more information.
Yes, go ahead and register as early as possible, since your chosen class may fill up quickly. But please be sure that payment is made through PayPal, or paper checks are received in our office at least 5 business days prior to the class start date.
Certificates for students who successfully pass the training assessment will have their certificates mailed to them no more than 5 business days after the class ends.

We hold trainings at client locations throughout Frederick County, Maryland, as well as northern and middle Montgomery County, Maryland. Beyond those areas, a travel fee may apply. Please contact us for mor information.
Yes, a training may be held at your location. However, depending on the distance from Frederick, MD, a travel fee may apply.
Let us know. We may be able to squeeze you into the full class. Or, we may schedule an additional class for you and any other overflow students.
Of course, please do! If you know of a training that you need, and we do not have it listed as one of our current courses, or you have an idea for a particular Core of Knowledge training that you would like to see offered, please let us know. We add new courses regularly.
Yes, please let us know. If there are multiple students who need a particular training course to be held sooner than the upcoming training date, we'll do what we can to help, and if possible, schedule an additional class sooner.
